I have often said to our parents and to our families, one of the most important ministries and tasks we do is the religious education of our children.  That is a challenge and we spend of a lot time, money and effort in trying to educate our children in the ways of our faith.  Over the past few months, we have searched for a new Director of Religious Education.  We had many candidates, some parishioners and some non-parishioners, who have many gifts and talents.  We have hired Mrs. Kim DeVito, who was one of our office assistants in Religious Education.  She has spent many years as a catechist at different levels, and her managerial experience made her the right choice at this time.  Her knowledge of the program and friendly and warm personality will help our catechists, children and families.  Let us pray for Kim, our children and our whole parish family as begin a new phase in our Religious Education program.

For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
