On March 15, 2018, seven members of a helicopter crew were killed when their helicopter crashed in Iraq. Four members were based out of the airbase in our parish. Our parish has often helped those who serve the Air National Guard and Rescue Wing as they and their families serve in our community. On Sunday October 14th, there will be collection for those military families whose dads were killed. It is a scholarship fundraiser for the children of Technical Sergeant Dashan Briggs and Master Sergeant Chris Raguso. For more information contact: Colonel (Ret) Rob Landsiedel 631-880-1074 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. The 106 Rescue Wing Alumni Association is raising funds to provide the children of Master Sergeant Chris Raguso and Technical Sergeant Dashan Briggs with education scholarships. Chris and Dashan were two HH-60 crew members killed in Iraq in March 2018 while the 101 Rescue Squadron, New York Air National Guard, was deployed supporting ongoing contingency operations in the area. There is a Go Fund Me page “Friends of the 101 Rescue Squadron” hyperlink: gf.me/u/j4rfpy. Make checks payable to the “106 RQW Alumni Association” and mail to: 106 RQW Alumni Association, 150 Old Riverhead Road, Westhampton Beach, NY, 11978.
For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
