This Sunday we hear from St. Paul “Love never fails… So faith, hope, love remains, these three; but the greatest of these is love”. Ordinary Time is a time to reflect on our faith, hope and love. Even if we struggle with these, the Lord gives us help through the Sacraments. Coming to Mass, we reflect on the Word of God as a source of encouragement. We receive the Body and Blood of Christ to nourish our bodies and souls as we continue our pilgrimage journey on earth. These are expressions of God’s love for us. In the Sacrament of Penance, we experience God’s love and forgiveness. It helps to put us back on the right path with God, others and ourselves. In all of these great expressions of God’s love and care for us we pray for an increase to faith, hope and love. They also remind us that love never fails.
For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
