As I wrote in a letter to the parish a month ago, many are upset over the New York State’s expansion of abortion law. Many have asked what we can do. One thing we can do is sign a petition and send letters to our representatives and state senators. Those links can be found at the Diocesan Respect Life Office page: Another way is giving witness. We have two opportunities coming up for that. On Saturday, May 4th, Focus on the Family will be hosting Alive, From New York, in Times Square, a rally from 2pm-4pm, while showing a live ultrasound on the screen in Time Square. We will provide a bus for parishioners who wish to go. There is a limit to 10,000 participants, so you must register with Focus on the Family at On Monday, June 3, March for Life NY will take place in Albany. It will have an opening prayer then march to the State Capital Building with a rally at the Capital Building. The parish will provide for a bus for this event as well. For more information and to sign up for the buses to these events please contact Robert and Karen Montpetit (631-898-0087) or Nancy and Bob Giglio (631-728-4894). Another way is prayer. The Diocese will celebrate St Gianna Mass for Women and Families on Saturday, April 27th at 5pm at St. Agnes Cathedral with an opportunity to venerate relics of St Gianna. RSVP by April 19th at

For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
