As previously mentioned, Bishop Barres is lifting the dispensation from the obligation to go to Mass on the weekend of August 14-15, 2021. It is an encouragement to return to Mass and to participate as best as one can in the Eucharist. Many have yet to return to Mass and while the dispensation is lifted, some may still feel nervous about returning to Mass. We still have some measures in place to keep people as safe as possible. However if you feel sick or have a medical condition which could put you at risk, you are advised to remain at home. We continue to stream the Sunday 9:30am Mass and 5pm Spanish Mass on Sunday. It is a great joy to see more and more people returning to Mass. On the weekend of August 14-15th we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We can see in her life a model for ourselves to continue to trust in the will of God and God’s providence in our lives. It is also a great time to give thanks to God for all the blessings we have received and continue to receive and to experience God’s love in the Eucharist.
For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
