This past weekend, we prayed for our country and for peace and justice for all in our land.  Yet we know many do not have the freedoms that we enjoy.  Over the past few months, we have seen the war in Ukraine rage on, as well as violence against the Church in Asia and in Africa.  We continue our prayer for peace in the world, and for persecuted Christians, in our nation and in our homes.  This Monday, July 11, at 7pm we will have a Holy Hour to pray for those in the Church who are being persecuted, especially in Nigeria.  Even as Fr. Linus came to us, two priests in Nigeria were kidnapped.  Fr. Linus will preach during the Holy Hour.  It is a good way to show our solidarity with our fellow Catholics around the world who struggle amid violence to practice their faith.

For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
