Last Sunday, we celebrated Catechetical Sunday by blessing our catechists and monitors for the coming school year. Religious Education is the largest ministry in the parish and the most time and resource consuming ministry we have. It requires a lot of volunteers but the goals are of the most important ones: to pass on the faith to our children that they might come to know God, the Church and themselves more fully, to enable them to respond to the invitation to participate in the life of God and the Church, and to be fully participating members of the Church for the rest of their lives. We could still use an additional catechist for level 7 on Tuesday nights and level 5 on Monday afternoons. Each grade level meets once every two weeks.
For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
