Respect Life Sunday

October is Respect Life month.  This Sunday is Respect Life Sunday.  While many equate respect life as anti-abortion, it is much more than that.  It is respect of the whole human person and the God given dignity of every life.  Cardinal Bernadin used to call it the Seamless Garment of Life, from conception to natural death.  So the Church continues to fight for the respect and dignity of all.  This includes health care reform, immigration reform, just wages and access to the necessities of life (food, water, and shelter).  So we continue to pray for all the respect life from conception to natural death and to enact laws that protect life in all its forms and stages.

Blessing of Pets
October 4 is the feast of St Francis of Assisi.  We will have the blessing of pets on Sunday Oct 9th at 3pm in the Church parking lot by the statue of St. Francis and the animals.

For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.
