Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

Dear Parishioners,

Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

As we gather in the joyful spirit of Easter, we celebrate the triumphant resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This sacred season reminds us that even in the darkest hours, God’s light prevails, offering us hope, renewal, and everlasting life.

Easter is not merely a day on the calendar—it is a profound invitation to deepen our faith and to embrace the love and mercy of Christ. His victory over sin and death is the foundation of our salvation, and it calls each of us to be bearers of His light in our communities, in our homes, and in our hearts.

In this world that often faces trials, uncertainty, and suffering, may we find strength in the empty tomb, knowing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us.

Through prayer, service, and acts of kindness, let us share His love with those in need, bringing His message of peace and hope to all we encounter.

May this Easter season renew our spirits and inspire us to walk closer with Christ, trusting in His unending grace and mercy.

May His resurrection bring peace to our homes, joy to our hearts, and a deeper commitment to His Church.

Wishing you and your families a most blessed and joyous Easter.

~ Fr. Ken

PS: As you may recall, on December 4, 2024, the Federal Bankruptcy Court confirmed a plan ending the Bankruptcy Case for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, all our parishes, and related ministries. At that point the only remaining step was for each of the Parishes to make an abbreviated Chapter 11, Bankruptcy filing. On March 31, 2025 the court issued a Final Decree closing those cases for our Parish as well as many others. As a result, this matter and the associated claims it represents are fully resolved and closed.

This closes a difficult time for all Catholic Parishes in the Diocese of Rockville Center. At this Easter Time, a time of resurrection – a new beginning, we can be comforted that those who were harmed have received some measure of healing and that the mission of our Church on Long Island and our Parish will continue.

May the blessed promise of the risen Christ bring joy to all your days, and peace to your heart.
