Sacraments
There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony, and Holy Orders.
Marriages: Arrangements should be made at least one year in advance. Marriage dates may be made only with the priest after he interviews the couple. Please contact the Parish Office to set up an appointment. Pre-Cana classes required.
Baptisms: Parents are required to attend one evening class before Baptism; and are encouraged to attend class during pregnancy. Baptismal class is held on the first Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September and November. For more information contact the Parish Office.
Anointing the sick: Emergency calls for the Sacraments for the seriously ill may be made any time of the day or night, every day of the year. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will also be celebrated every second Friday of the month at the 8:00am mass. All those who are seriously ill, including those preparing for surgery or a hospital stay, are invited to receive the Sacrament.
Reconciliation: Penance is a holy moment in which we place ourselves in God’s presence and honestly acknowledge our sins. The Sacrament is available on Saturdays from 4:00-4:45pm, and by appointment. Contact the Parish Office.
Eucharist: To have the Eucharist taken to the homebound, contact the Parish Office.
Confirmation: Contact Religious Education for information regarding having your child confirmed. If you are an adult seeking Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) please contact the Parish Office.
Holy Orders: Priests, deacons, and nuns are needed in the Catholic Church. For more information contact our Pastor or contact the Rockville Center Office of Vocations at 516-678-5800.
